Their communication wasn’t precise. Prior to the appointment, they said if I had the 3D xray done, I said “yes.” I thought they would call my other dentist regarding this xray. There was no other communication about it. If they told me to “bring” a copy of the 3D xray then I would have brought it in. They said, If I brought a copy of this 3D xray, then I didn’t have to pay extra! Unfortunately, I had to pay extra for this service. I see, why this was not communicated to me. Also, when I asked the lady at the front, how long is the xray window before they can accept it, the lady said within a year. Then I said, “my recent one was last Dec 2023.” The. She goes, “oh no, I think it has to be within 6 months.” I felt scammed. No consideration with the inconvenience. The dentist and then the dentist assistant were great! Their front desk, didn’t show any respect and consideration with this situation. I was so closed to turn around and reschedule this. But due to busy work, I decided to pay the extra $60, despite she said the 3D xray has to be “within 6 month,s” after the fact she just said within a year.

10/10/24 - Today, Dr. Sohn [5☆] finished my #9 root canal - it was my final appointment of THREE for this one tooth (I let the abscess grow too large for YEARS and eliminating the puss took 3 appointments). Today, Dr. Sohn said they were short one Assistant so everyone was doing double duty - she expertly filled my canal with the finest gutta-percha. Assistant Ina [5☆] came to the rescue and took all my x-rays, brought me a warm face towel and delicious mouthwash. Carla [5☆] went over my account financials in full at checkout and reiterated all of the post-op instructions to reduce inflammation and helped me make out a checkup reminder postcard she will mail in one year. I hope I don't need another root canal before then, but if I do I am getting my dentist to refer me to Bay Area Endodontics! 9/30/24 - Dr. Sohn, Nancy, and Carla were all very efficient and kind - My root canal was more complicated and turned into a 2-week return trip, and Dr. Sohn and Carla shifted some calendar appointments around to squeeze me in. Every step of the procedure was explained well and the after-care instructions were highlighted and explained to me.
